Niko Angelis was born in Samos, Greece. He studied Architecture at the Universities of Bath and UEL in England where he focused in Urbanism and Art respectively. Environmental interests and concerns lead him to further his studies in the field of Environmental Design Engineering at University College London. He has worked in Greece and the US for award winning Architectural design studios.

STUDIOANGELIS was established in 2003 in the US and three years later relocated in Samos. The design practice combines Architectural Services, Furniture and Object Design, Art and Graphics. The studio's work is influenced by early modernism and attempts a subtle balance between aesthetics and technology.

	• Associate architect for award winning RMA design studio, Cleveland, US. Involved in all aspects of design and construction on a number of projects including contemporary residences, retail, offices and historic renovations.
	• Assistant architect for award winning Alexandros N.Tombazis design studio in Athens, Greece. Work focused on bioclimatic and energy efficient buildings. Participated in the following projects: Office Building for Public Power Corporation, Athens; Laboratories for Patras University Hospital, Patras; Monument and Museum for the Battle of Crete, Crete; Office building, Athens
	• Assistant architect for Dimitrios Kanakakis design studio in Athens, Greece. Participated in the following projects: Paleontological Museum Mytilinion, Samos; Building survey and proposals for restoration of the historical Spiliani Monastery in Pythagorion, Samos; Retail shop in Athens; Building surveys and technical reports for numerous historic buildings in Samos
